Funding

At the SA, our commitment is to offer our students a diverse range of funding options, ensuring that their college experience is extensive and enriching. Our aim is to provide support, not only in times of adversity, but also to empower students to elevate both their professional expertise and personal growth.

Our funding options come in three distinct forms: the academic support fund overseen by the Manager of Student Engagement, the community support fund handled by the SA President, and finally, the extraordinary learning fund managed by the Board of Directors.

Academic Support Fund: a resource that helps students enhance their college experience and professional skills through extra learning, experiences, and certificates. This fund help students channel their hobbies and passions to the next level, and it even assists students in organizing webinars and events that have a positive impact. Community Support Fund: a fund designed to assist students confronting financial challenges that can impact their overall college journey. This fund provides one-time financial aid to help students navigate through difficulties and ensure a holistic college experience. Additional questions? Email sapresident@sl.on.ca.

Extraordinary Learning Fund: a funding initiative by the Board of Directors which supports students with ideas for projects and events that have a large positive social impact on a student group and the community. This allows students on Kingston campus to engage in and/or develop activities- outside their curriculum- that will have a demonstrable benefit to their academic studies. Additional questions?
