Opportunities with the Student Association
Student Engagement Assistant
The purpose of this role is to support and enhance student life at St. Lawrence College by coordinating Student Association events, managing student engagement initiatives, and facilitating club and funding operations. This position ensures the effective delivery of programs and services by maintaining current knowledge of Student Association offerings, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting student participation. The role also oversees budgeting and documentation related to club funding and engagement activities, ensuring compliance with Student Association and college policies. Through active communication, planning, and collaboration, the position contributes to creating a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive campus environment that reflects the needs and interests of the student body.
Front Desk Assistant
The Student Engagement Assistant develops, executes or supports events and programming for the students of St. Lawrence College (Kingston). The Student Engagement Assistant is responsible for ensuring SA campus events, orientation and promotions are aligned with goals and priorities of the Student Association. The Student Engagement Assistant ensures that students are supported and engaged while attending SLC to enjoy the holistic college experience and will be responsible for networking with other student leaders and groups to hear and address student questions and concerns. The Assistant will also be responsible for working collaboratively with front desk tasks when required by creating a positive welcome environment and providing excellent customer service to all students, staff, and guests.
